Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Gabriel Witt (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Myles Dawson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Gabriel Witt!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
1 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Myles Dawson!
The judges for this bout are Topper Green, Steve Erwin and Chris Dean.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Witt throws a series of punches but Dawson moves out of range.
Witt fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Witt shoots in and bounces Dawson off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
Witt is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.
Witt has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Witt trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Witt controls the pace of the fight for a moment.
Dawson wants to stand and escape but Witt is having none of it.
Witt really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Witt postures up and lands a big shot to Dawson's brow.
Witt stays in close to Dawson's body and controls the position.
Witt's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Witt doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Dawson counters with a one-two to the body.
Witt shoots for a takedown but Dawson saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Dawson is loading up here, looking for a big counter of his own.
Witt shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Dawson counters with a straight right hand.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Gabriel Witt. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Dawson looks to land a combination but Witt avoids it well.
Witt shoots in looking for a takedown. Dawson tries to sprawl out of it but Witt keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Dawson manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Despite the aggression on Dawson's face he doesn't fully commit to the counter.
Dawson lands with a nice body punch.
Witt is breathing heavily.
Dawson uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Witt.
That's three minutes gone in the round.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Witt is defended easily by Dawson.
Dawson lets it all go there with a big combo counter but none of the punches connected.
Dawson pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Witt back to the cage. Dawson follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver.
Dawson gets in close and tags Witt with a short punch that almost sends Witt to the mat! Oh Witt is in big trouble! He turns his back on Dawson, trying to create some distance but Dawson rushes him, striking wildly and Witt goes down! The referee tackles Dawson into the cage to end the fight! Dawson is one violent man!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:48 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Myles Dawson!
Myles Dawson was full of energy after the big win and talked about how he thinks he can do big things in this sport. The crowd were appreciative of his determination to succeed.
