Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between David Grove (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Stratovarius Smiff (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). David Grove could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Stratovarius Smiff's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Smiff throws a poor cross that misses

and Grove counters with a nice double leg into half guard.
Grove prevents Smiff from improving his position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Grove is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.

Grove thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.

Grove drops back looking for a leg! Smiff is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Smiff manages to kick Grove off! Grove jumps back into Smiff's guard.
Smiff is pulling down on Grove's head. It's preventing any offense from Grove, at least for the moment.
Smiff wants to sweep here but Grove controlling him for the moment.

Smiff has his foot on Grove's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Grove works his way back into a safe position though.

Smiff is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Grove defends it well.

Grove is trying to tuck his arms in to keep them safe but Smiff has managed to isolate one of them and has got a loose triangle. Smiff pulls down on the head and a little smile comes across his face - he knows he's got it. Yep, Grove taps out and this one is all over!
