The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Beckham tries to bum rush Anderson with a series of wild strikes but Anderson uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

Anderson had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Beckham is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Anderson Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Beckham's back instead.

Beckham drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Beckham jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Beckham cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
Anderson tries to lock up and control but Beckham gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
Anderson takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position.

Beckham is going olschool here, as he tries to force Anderson to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Anderson shrugs it off.

Beckham is looking to secure an arm. He's managed it! He's pivoting for an armbar - that looks tight! But Anderson has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. Nice work from Anderson!
