Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Everett Henderson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Yuri Kyo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Everett Henderson!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Yuri Kyo!
The judges for this bout are Anthony Taglia, Alyssa Summers and Jonathan Paton.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kyo tries to clinch but Henderson moves out of range.
Kyo just misses with a punch to the body.
Kyo avoids the body shot from Henderson.

Kyo fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Henderson sprawls well initially but Kyo persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Kyo not landing any meaningful shots this time.
Kyo is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound.
Henderson is trying to maintain the position but Kyo is very close to passing his half guard.
Henderson holds on for dear life, maintaining half guard for now.
Henderson trying to control but Kyo postures up.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Henderson keeping control of the leg, stopping his opponent passing to mount.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Kyo is looking to take a break and control but Henderson is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Henderson is trying to stand up here but Kyo is controlling him well.

Henderson is trying is best to control the position here.
Kyo is nestled in close to Henderson, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.
Henderson is refusing to be controlled, as Kyo sits in half guard.

Kyo is figuring out what he wants to do next.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Henderson holds on for dear life, maintaining half guard for now.
Kyo wants to lay and pray for a moment but Henderson keeps working.
Henderson is positioning himself well to prevent Kyo advancing to mount.
Still in half guard, Kyo seems content to control.
Kyo prevents Henderson from improving his position.
Henderson wants to control but Kyo passes into side.
Kyo has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

That's two minutes gone in the round.

Kyo tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Kyo has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
Henderson is not content to let Kyo control the position.

Henderson could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Henderson tries to buck Kyo off but Kyo is having none of it.
Kyo trying to control the position but Henderson is working away.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Kyo tries to move into full mount but can't pass Henderson's legs.
Kyo has knee on belly and now moves to full mount! Trouble for Henderson!

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Henderson wants to control but Kyo is having none of it.
Henderson's corner are shouting for him to stand up but that's bad cornering - how is he meant to stand up when he's mounted? He should be looking to improve his position on the ground before trying to stand back up.
Kyo tries to control but Henderson wriggling away.
Henderson tries to hold on but Kyo postures up.
Henderson is breathing heavily.
Henderson srikes from the bottom but he's lost position and has given up his back.

That's four minutes gone in the round.

Kyo gets his hands free as Henderson looks to control.
Henderson is keeping busy.
Henderson looks to control his opponent's hands but he's not mananging it at the moment.
Kyo missing with punches from the back.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Henderson is trying to stand back up.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Yuri Kyo dominated that round.
That's time! Back to the action!



The fight moves into the clinch position.

Henderson breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Henderson tries to clinch there but Kyo circles away.

Kyo closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Henderson quickly recovers to half guard.
Henderson trying to keep hold of his opponent's head but Kyo manages to pass to mount!
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Henderson wants to hold on but Kyo pushes him away.

Kyo is working for a guillotine from mount but Henderson frees his head quite easily.
Henderson tries to lock up and control but Kyo gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Henderson is looking to improve his position but Kyo isn't that keen on the idea.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Henderson is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.
Kyo dominating with strikes here.


It looks like Everett Henderson has been cut.
Henderson tries to lock up and control but Kyo gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
Henderson reaches up to try and control the position but Kyo seems to have an arm triangle now! Uh oh! Henderson rolls and tries to escape and now Kyo has his back!

Kyo has his arm under Henderson's chin here. Game over son! Kyo squeezes tightly and Henderson is forced to tap out!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:45 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Yuri Kyo!
