Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Ray Tony (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rudy Gay Rodriguez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rudy Gay Rodriguez is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Rudy Gay Rodriguez!
The judges for this bout are Cecil Peabody, Wesley Smith and George Francis.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tony looks for a takedown but Gay Rodriguez sprawls well.
Tony tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Tony fails with a takedown attempt.
Tony looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Gay Rodriguez is fending him off so far but Tony persists. Nope, Gay Rodriguez circles away and we're back to standing.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Ray Tony. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Tony changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Gay Rodriguez tries to avoid it but Tony manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Gay Rodriguez to the ground. Gay Rodriguez escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Tony feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Gay Rodriguez working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Tony doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Tony manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Tony wants to stand and escape but instead Gay Rodriguez has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard.

Tony is breathing heavily.
Tony has hold of Gay Rodriguez's hands but Gay Rodriguez slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.
Gay Rodriguez drops an elbow to the side of Tony's head.

Gay Rodriguez moves into side control, avoiding a weak kimura attempt from Tony.

Gay Rodriguez connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused Tony some visible discomfort.
Gay Rodriguez lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Tony down.

Gay Rodriguez has an Americana. Tony didn't react quickly enough there and he's in big trouble now! He tries to squirm out but is forced to tap! Gay Rodriguez is delighted and gyrates infront of the ring girls. They seem to like the attention - it'll be interesting to see if Gay Rodriguez hooks up with any of them at the after show party.
