Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 11 - 5 - 1, fighting out of New York, Liam Kelley!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 18 - 3 - 0, fighting out of New York, Joe Bone!
The judges for this bout are Wesley Smith, Daniel Franklin and Robert Twigg.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bone ducks down and throws a hook to the body.
Bone throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Kelley takes a swing at Bone's ribcage but misses.
Kelley looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Bone misses with a straight left.
Kelley dodges the punch combination from Bone.
Bone takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.
Kelley uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Bone.
Bone misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Bone has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.
Bone scores with a crisp jab that stopped Kelley in his tracks.
Kelley fakes with the hands and throws a leg kick but Bone is out of range.
Bone swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made.
Kelley lands a slapping body shot.
A looping hook to the body misses from Bone. Kelley does a little dance to reset his feet.
Kelley wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
Bone throws a head kick that misses.
Kelley appeared to be looking to counter that last move with a leg kick.
Bone misses with a hook. Kelley ducked under it nicely.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Kelley takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Kelley, as that shot connected.

Kelley blocks a jab.
Bone looks to throw the jab but Kelley is out of range.

Bone looking to score a takedown here. Kelley is defending well but Bone drives through and ends up in Kelley's guard.
Kelley looking to hit a scissor sweep but Bone is one step ahead there.

Bone has gone for a leg lock! Kelley slips out almost immediately though and dives into Bone's guard.

Kelley wants to control from the top but Bone keeps moving.

Bone had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Kelley defends it easily.

Bone has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Kelley can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Kelley connects with a couple of short punches.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Bone is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Kelley is aware though and is defending well.
Kelley forces his way into half guard.
The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Kelley lands a nice short elbow.
Kelley looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Bone is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Kelley pulls his head out easily.

Kelley perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.
Kelley continues to stall.
Kelley is working hard to pass the guard. He's done it - he's now in full mount! Trouble for Bone!
Kelley tries to control but Bone wriggling away.
Bone sneaks a leg under to get to half guard.
Kelley is trying to control. Bone wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.
Kelley is thwarting Bone's attempts to control the position.
The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Kelley lands a nice short elbow.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Bone is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Kelley scores with a couple of nice shots.
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Kelley connects with a nice short shot to Bone's temple.
Bone is looking for a sweep. Kelley is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Bone moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.

Bone is working actively from the bottom, looking for submissions. He's escaped his hips to the side and he's going for an armbar! Kelley has his hands clasped together but Bone extends and breaks Kelley's desperate grasp, forcing a tap out due to armbar! Nice BJJ displayed there by Bone.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:59 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Joe Bone!
During a confident post fight interview, Joe Bone thanked all his fans. He seemed very genuine when describing how motivated his fans keep him.
