Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, James Solis!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Phillipe Nover!
The judges for this bout are Aafke Stam, Saam Ante and Albert Achterberg.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Nover has closed the distance and engaged Solis in a clinch.
Solis wants a takedown but no success here.
Solis is trying to slow down the pace of the fight but Nover is keeping busy.
Solis tries for a takedown but Nover manages to get underhooks.
Solis fails to pull guard.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for James Solis. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Solis stalling.
Nover stops a takedown attempt from Solis.
The two fighters are working to gain dominance in the clinch.
Nover stalling here - the referee won't stand for too much of that.
Solis is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Nover to keep the fight standing.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Solis wants to stall.
Nover controlling the action here for a moment.
Solis is looking to control Nover's arms but Nover gets an underhook and turns him. Now Solis has his back to the cage.

Solis fails to pull the fight into his guard.
Solis's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not.

Solis jumps into guard, dragging Nover to the mat.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Nover wanted to stand there but Solis had control of the position.

Solis working for a triangle but Nover defends it easily.
Solis has his hands on Nover's head, controlling the position.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Nover wants to get up but he can't break Solis's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.

Nover is posturing up here but Solis has hold of an arm and he's gone for an armbar! Nover tries to roll out but it's too tight and Nover has to tap! Slick submission there by Solis!
