Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Andrew Tran (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Raja Wijaya (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Tran comes to the cage accompanied by Blockbuster Night Part 1. Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 23 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Andrew Tran!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 10 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Raja Wijaya!
The judges for this bout are Donatello Bradman, Darius Henderson and John Mangel.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Wijaya scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.
Tran tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Wijaya wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
Tran knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Wijaya on the ground.

Tran is looking for a sweep.
Wijaya connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused Tran some visible discomfort.
Tran really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Wijaya lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Tran down.
Wijaya connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused Tran some visible discomfort.
Wijaya lands a few punches from side control.
Wijaya scores with a couple of short elbows.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Tran gets back to half guard.
Wijaya lands strikes from half guard.
Wijaya is looking to pass the guard... He's managed it - he's now in full mount!
Wijaya wants to control the action but instead Tran gets a body lock and reverses into Wijaya's guard! Nice work!
Tran throws a big right hand that misses.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Wijaya wants to stand and escape but Tran is having none of it.
Wijaya is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Wijaya looks to score some points with some ground and pound.
Wijaya lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt.

Tran is rocked!
Wijaya is sitting in half guard. He's postured up and lands a nice elbow. Oh, Tran is hurt! He's hurt bad - Wijaya fires away with more strikes and the referee jumps in to save Tran from any more punishment! Congratulations to Wijaya! Great finish!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:58 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Raja Wijaya!
Raja Wijaya decided to thank the fans in attendance for making a great atmosphere. It seemed to go down pretty well.
