The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Perry takes a swing at Gasaspo's ribcage but misses.
It seemed like Gasaspo was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it.
Perry scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Gasaspo doesn't seem bothered though.
Perry just misses with a punch to the body.
Gasaspo is definitely looking for the counter takedowns here.
Perry swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
It seemed like Gasaspo was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it.
Perry throws a hook to the side of Gasaspo's head but Gasaspo sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Perry throws a body punch but Gasaspo moves out of range.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Perry looks to land a left hand but Gasaspo moved out of range nicely.
Gasaspo tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away.
Gasaspo ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.

Perry clobbers Gasaspo with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.
Perry throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Perry sets himself, and Gasaspo steps forward looking for the clinch! Perry avoids it this time.
The crowd cheers as Perry lands an impressive looking overhand right. Gasaspo doesn't seem phased though.
Perry connects with a crisp jab.

Despite the aggression on Gasaspo's face he doesn't fully commit to the counter.
Perry definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.

As Perry backs off Gasaspo throws a huge counter combo but Perry manages to avoid it all.
Perry misses with a lunging right hand

and Gasaspo counters with a nice double leg into side control. Perry won't be happy with that.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Gasaspo is working to tighten his grip on Perry's neck. He's isolated an arm and is working for an arm triangle. Perry has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but Gasaspo is really squeezing tight and eventually Perry passes out! Gasaspo breaks the hold and jumps onto the cage to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!
