The judges for this bout are Paul Aken, Albert Achterberg and Wagner Zegers.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Fankulewski throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Calderon tries to clinch there but Fankulewski circles away.
A low kick from Fankulewski misses
and Calderon counters with a single leg into guard. Fankulewski didn't expect that.
Fankulewski pushes Calderon off for just long enough to get back to his feet. Very athletic spring there.

Calderon manages to create a bit of space in order to work his way back to his feet. Fankulewski keeps hold of his opponent and drives him back against the cage.
Calderon could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.

Calderon bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Fankulewski 's guard.

Fankulewski looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Calderon with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Fankulewski connects with a nice short shot to Calderon's temple.
Fankulewski is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Calderon is just riding it out for now. Fankulewski eventually gives up the hold.
