Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Normand Dillon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jake Mike (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jake Mike has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Normand Dillon!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Jake Mike!
The judges for this bout are Chris Saunders, Jeff Smith and Micheangelo Fripello.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Mike shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Mike was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
Dillon wants to get back to his feet but Mike drags him back down.
The referee asks Mike politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Mike prefers to stall for the moment though.
Mike landing with strikes to the head and body from side control.


It looks like Normand Dillon has been cut.
We're hearing some news coming in from back stage. It's official - Mike has eaten all the pies!
Dillon wants to escape from the position here - easier said than done!

Dillon throws his opponent off and manages to get back to his feet! Nicely done!

A momentary lapse in concentration from Dillon enables Mike to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Dillon manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Dillon avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
Mike looking to pass the guard.
Dillon is striking but Mike is not phased and passes to half guard.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Dillon pushes Mike off but Mike dives into side control.
Dillon is not content to let Mike control the position.
Mike controlling the position.
Mike throwing strikes but Dillon manages to buck up and roll into a nice reversal - now he's on top in side control!

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Mike tries to bench press Dillon off him but Dillon keeps the position.
Mike struggling a bit here.
Mike is positioning himself to get back to half guard.
Dillon scores with punches from side control.
Mike can't do much from the bottom here.
Mike is trying to avoid being dragged into an even worse position than he's already in but Dillon is staying active.

Dillon decides to take the fight back to the feet.
Mike throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Mike tries to clinch up but Dillon circles away and keeps his distance.

Dillon dives in and scores a takedown into Mike's guard.
Dillon would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.
Mike is trying to keep Dillon in close.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Dillon prevents Mike from getting back to his feet.
Mike wants to sweep but no luck.
Dillon with a nice head shot there.
Dillon wants to stand but Mike is controlling his posture from full guard.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.

Mike closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Dillon to the mat! Dillon manages to get full guard.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Dillon wants to get back to his feet but Mike is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Normand Dillon will probably get the nod.

Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin!


Mike throws a half hearted mid kick.
Mike avoids the head kick by Dillon.
Mike darts in and out, connecting with a jab.

Mike clinches with his opponent.

Mike is fighting off a takedown attempt but Dillon is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Mike to the mat. Mike regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat.
Mike is wriggling around but Dillon manages to pass to half guard.

Mike trying to keep hold of his opponent's head but Dillon manages to pass to mount!
Mike sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Dillon is trying to get back to his feet now but his leg is trapped.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Mike wants to control but Dillon is keeping busy.

Dillon looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Mike trying to hold on to Dillon's head to control him but Dillon postures up.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Mike wants to get back to full guard but Dillon has passed into side control.
Mike trying his best to control but Dillon has mounted him.
Normand Dillon overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Dillon is standing up out of mount! Strange tactic there - he must really want this one on the feet!

Mike shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Dillon napping and manages to drive through into side control!

Mike working away.
Dillon tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Mike wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
Dillon wants to escape from the position here - easier said than done!

Mike stands up.

Mike closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Mike lands in his opponent's guard.
Mike wants to pass the guard but Dillon is keeping the position.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Mike trying to control the position from guard on top but Dillon is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Dillon is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Mike is controlling him.
Dillon keeping moving, preventing Mike from controlling successfully.
Dillon is pulling down on Mike's head to control his posture.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Dillon is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close second round but Jake Mike will probably get the nod - 10:9.
The cut man is working on Normand Dillon's cut.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! This is the final round!



Mike closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Dillon to the mat! Dillon manages to get full guard.

The fighters are working up against the cage. Dillon manages to wriggle his way back to his feet, so the fighters are now clinched against the cage.

Mike's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Dillon swats away the attempt to clinch by Mike.
Dillon thinks about countering with a head kick.

Mike gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here.

Mike escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Mike tries to clinch but Dillon moves out of range.
Mike tries to clinch but fails miserably

so Dillon counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Dillon stands up and waves to Mike to follow him.
Mike tries to clinch up.

Mike shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
Dillon tries to kick Mike off but Mike keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Mike wants to take a breather but Dillon is having none of it.
Dillon is looking to escape.

Dillon manages to create a bit of space in order to work his way back to his feet. Mike keeps hold of his opponent and drives him back against the cage.
Dillon jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Mike walks away with a smile on his face. Dillon gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Mike tries to close the distance and clinch up but Dillon swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Mike stuns Dillon with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Dillon has his takedown stuffed

and Mike counters by moving into the clinch.

Mike manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back.

That's three minutes gone in the round.

Mike working away from the bottom but not quite defensive enough there because Dillon has passed into half guard!

Dillon wants to work for an arm triangle but Mike is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Mike wants to get back to his feet.
Mike has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Dillon is working away from the top position though.
Mike tries to strike from the bottom but it doesn't land.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Mike is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Dillon scores with a couple of nice shots.
Mike is trying to maintain the position but Dillon is very close to passing his half guard.
Dillon takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.
Mike trying to hold on to Dillon's head to control him but Dillon postures up.
Mike might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Dillon haven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

Dillon is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Mike defends it well.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.

And that's the end of the fight!
Normand Dillon showed his dominance in that final round.
I think Dillon has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
