Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Brian Brigg (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Abdi Ahmed (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Abdi Ahmed!
The judges for this bout are Jonathan Paton, Russell Pearce and Dean Styles.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Brigg feints and as Ahmed raises his hands in defense, Brigg changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.

Ahmed has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Brigg is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Ahmed.
Ahmed wants to control but Brigg postures up.
Ahmed is not content to let Brigg control the position.
Ahmed sneaks back into half guard.
Ahmed is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Brigg's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Brigg's back!
Brigg rolls, trying to escape but Ahmed keeps control of the position.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Brigg is working hard here to advance position.
Brigg is trying to stand back up.
Ahmed has good solid back control here.

Brigg looks to control his opponent's hands but he's not mananging it at the moment.
Ahmed is looking cool and calm here, just waiting for a good opportunity to attack and finish the fight from this dominant position.
Brigg trying to get back to his feet but Ahmed is in full control for now.
Ahmed keeps control of the position easily here as Brigg tries to buck him off.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Brigg wants to get back to his feet.

Ahmed has his hand under the chin of his opponent looking for the choke. He's nearly got it! This one could be all over! But no, Brigg has freed his hand and lives to survive another… well, another couple of seconds at least!

Ahmed working for the rear naked choke here. He's got one arm under but Brigg is defending well. A couple of punches soften him up though and Ahmed has tightened the hold! This one could be all over! It is! Brigg taps out!

Abdi Ahmed decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
