Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jon Jones (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Lambis Kobelikos (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The key to victory for Jon Jones has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Jon Jones!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 11 - 1, fighting out of Sydney, Lambis Kobelikos!
The judges for this bout are Ben Hemmingworth, Donatello Bradman and Francis DeMontford.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jones scores with a nice right hand.
Kobelikos takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.
Jones lands a nice looking body shot.
Kobelikos darts in looking for a takedown but Jones gets double underhooks and turns Kobelikos into the cage.
Kobelikos takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
Kobelikos walks into a left hand.
Jones lands with an uppercut that bounces Kobelikos off the cage and back into range.
Jones connects with a body shot that sends Kobelikos's belly button to the back.

Kobelikos moves forwards but Jones connects with a nice, crisp jab.
Jones stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Jones throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Kobelikos.
Kobelikos tries to counter with a clinch but Jones shakes him off and moves away.
The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as Jones checks a leg kick.

Kobelikos has taken the fight to the clinch.
Jones can't break the clinch.
Kobelikos lands with a short shot to the head.
Kobelikos tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Jones just stands there and leans against the cage.
Kobelikos wants to take the fight to the mat but Jones manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch.
The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Jones pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.

Jon Jones seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Jones throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Kobelikos stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Kobelikos moves out of range as Jones strikes.
Jones lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.
Kobelikos tries to score a power double leg takedown but Jones sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Kobelikos somewhat.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Kobelikos takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.
Jones lands a jab to the nose.
Jones misses with a series of wild punches.
Kobelikos shapes to counter with a head kick.

Kobelikos shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.
Kobelikos misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Jones lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent.
Jones bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Kobelikos's head backwards.
Kobelikos on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot.
Jones uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Kobelikos has time to react.
The fight stays on the outside here - Kobelikos looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Kobelikos is trying desperately to land a takedown but Jones is having absolutely none of it. This is turning into a bit of a nightmare for Kobelikos.

Jones throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Kobelikos shoots in but no luck this time.

Jones is really head hunting here, hardly looking to strike to the body at all.
Jones throws out a loose jab but Kobelikos uses good head movement to avoid it.

Jones tries to keep at a distance but Kobelikos has taken the fight into the clinch.

Kobelikos is trying to drag Jones to the mat but Jones just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.

Kobelikos takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
Jones jabs Kobelikos right on the nose. Kobelikos blinks but takes it well.
Jones moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination.
Jones cracks a nice hook into Kobelikos's ribs.
Jones connects with a good right hand that stumbles Kobelikos. Kobelikos circles away out of range and recomposes himself.
Lambis Kobelikos is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Kobelikos looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Jones is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Kobelikos can do to turn this around?

Kobelikos is pushing Jones up against the cage, for a bit of lean and pray action. Action being used the in the loosest possible sense of the word.
Kobelikos tries for a takedown. No joy.
Kobelikos jumps guard but Jones stands there with Kobelikos around his waist. Kobelikos gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Jones is trying to break the clinch but Kobelikos is controlling him.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Kobelikos keeps control of Jones as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.
Jones wants to get back to striking at distance but Kobelikos won't allow it.

Kobelikos breaks from the clinch.
Jones throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Jones lands a body shot.

Kobelikos pushes Jones up against the cage in a clinch.
Jones tries to circle away but Kobelikos has him pinned against the cage.
Kobelikos is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.

Kobelikos is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Jones is defending well for now.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Kobelikos lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Kobelikos.

The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Kobelikos misses with a takedown
and Jones counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Lambis Kobelikos has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Kobelikos needs to keep his hands up - Jones had a free shot at his head there.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Jones, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
