The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lorenzo drops his hands momentarily and Shinra takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.
Shinra connects with an inside leg kick.
Tanuki Shinra seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Lorenzo defending well as Shinra loads up on a big left hand.

Shinra gets caught napping as Lorenzo dives in and scores a takedown. Shinra manages to retain guard.
Lorenzo trying to control the position from guard on top but Shinra is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Lorenzo drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Lorenzo jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Lorenzo seems like he's working for an arm triangle here. He's freed his trapped foot and he's rotating nicely. Shinra is in big trouble! He's tapping out! This one is aaaaaaaaaaaall over!
