Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Jack Cherry (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mighty Manlet (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 9 - 15 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Jack Cherry!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Mighty Manlet!
The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, and Don Winkell.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cherry throws a right and a left that both miss.

Cherry has his foot on Manlet's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Manlet works his way back into a safe position though.

Cherry is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Cherry working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Manlet doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Manlet manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Cherry looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Cherry throws a right hand that Manlet ducks under and follows up with a left that Manlet also avoids with ease.

That was a close round but I would say that Jack Cherry will probably get the nod.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

Manlet with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Cherry to score with a decent uppercut.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Cherry.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Manlet tries to pass the half guard into mount. Cherry knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.

We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.

Mighty Manlet showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.
