Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Big Pimpin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Xander Cage (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Big Pimpin has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cage lands with a cross.
Cage throws a left and a right that both miss

and Pimpin counters with a single leg into guard. Cage didn't expect that.

Pimpin is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
Pimpin throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Cage works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Pimpin might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Pimpin slips nicely into half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Pimpin is working for a submission of some sort.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Pimpin wants to free his trapped foot but Cage is holding on for dear life with his legs.

Pimpin is taking a breather. Cage says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.

Cage is defending against the submission attempts here by Pimpin.
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Pimpin with a momentary lay and pray from half guard.
Cage is looking for a sweep. Pimpin is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

Pimpin is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Cage sees it coming and defends easily.
Cage is looking to control Pimpin's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Cage avoid being mounted?

Cage wants to get back to full guard.
Cage is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Pimpin's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Pimpin's back!

Cage is staying calm and holding on to the back position, whilst working on a rear naked choke. Pimpin is defending well though. Cage let's go of the attempt for now.

You can see the frustration on Pimpin's face… He knows he is in trouble unless he improves his position sooner rather than later.

Pimpin manages to reverse the position and now he's in Cage's guard. Nice work there by Pimpin.

Pimpin drops back looking for a leg! Cage is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Cage manages to kick Pimpin off! Pimpin jumps back into Cage's guard.

Cage jabs Pimpin right on the nose. Pimpin blinks but takes it well.

Pimpin slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Cage is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Pimpin is aware though and is defending well.

Cage has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Pimpin is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Cage.

Pimpin tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.

Pimpin is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Cage knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

Pimpin tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Pimpin has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

Pimpin advances to mount.
Cage tries to reverse the position but Pimpin maintains control.
Pimpin takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Pimpin moves to the back position.
Pimpin is hanging on to Cage's back as he tries to escape.
Cage trying to control the action but Pimpin just sinks the hooks in.

Pimpin is working for the choke. I would put my money on him to finish from this position. He's rolled onto his back and has dragged Cage with him. Cage is trying to defend but Pimpin has an arm under the chin now! Cage grimaces and is forced to tap out!
