Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, John King!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Duncan Smith!
The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, Timothy Bukovac and Jack Bonds.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
King scores to the head and body with a nice combination!
A head kick from Smith lands but King takes it in his stride.


It looks like John King has been cut.
King misses with a few strikes there.
King moves out of range of the body kick from Smith.
King has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Smith finds it's way round the side to connect with King's head.
Smith throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.
Smith throws a head kick that misses.
Nice cross by Smith.
King throws a leg kick but Smith moved away.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
King throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Smith counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.
Jab by King.
Smith getting the better of the striking in that exchange.
King lands a nice looking body shot.
Smith is looking to clinch.
King tries to close the distance and clinch up against the ropes but Smith paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Smith lets it all go there with a big combo counter but none of the punches connected.
King scores with the left hand. Smith knows he should have avoided that one.

That's one minute gone in the round.
King moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.
Smith dodges the punch combination from King.
A telegraphed right hand from King misses the target.
King fails with an attempt to clinch.
King blocks a head kick by Smith.
Some wild striking there from King.
Smith throws a fast counter high kick but King manages to duck under it in time.
Smith avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
King cracks Smith with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.
Smith checks a low kick. Bone on bone - not my idea of a good time.
King misses with a few strikes there.
King lands a nice looking body shot.
King slips under a jab from Smith.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
King throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Smith.
Smith lands a jab to the head.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Smith scores with a head kick. King tried to block it but didn't get his arm up in time.
King wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
King misses with a telegraphed body shot

and as King resets, Smith pounces with a savage head kick that drops King to the mat! King looks wobbly but gets back to his feet on the count of 5. The referee continues the count to 8 then steps aside to let these two guys get back at it!


King is rocked!
Smith lands a nice hook to King's body. King takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.
Oh King is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!

Smith gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here.
King lands with a short shot to the head.
The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as King takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life.
King is looking to break free of the clinch but Smith has double underhooks.
King seems to have got his legs back now.
King blocking some punches.
The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Smith manages to break the clinch.
King takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
King swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
A little jabbing left from Smith on the counter but it doesn't find it's target.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Having scored a knockdown, Duncan Smith should take round 1, putting pressure on his opponene back strong in round 2.
The cut man is working on John King's cut.
That's time! Back to the action!


King lands with a cross.
King takes a head kick and keeps coming.
King walks straight into a perfectly timed right hook, crumpling him to the floor! King is in all kinds of trouble here - can he beat the count? 3,4,5,6,7,8,9....10 - he's out and it's by a long way too - he didn't ever look like beating that count!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:14 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punch). Duncan Smith!
John King was interviewed post fight and said 'I'm humble in victory or defeat. This means that I need to go back, train & get better. I won't stand still. I'll be back!'.
