Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Cheyenne Rivera (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Denisas Bogdanas (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Bogdanas has chosen nirvana as his entrance music. Denisas Bogdanas will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bogdanas shoots in for a takedown but Rivera shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Bogdanas misses with a double jab

and Rivera decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Bogdanas's guard.
Rivera is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
Rivera stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Bogdanas swivels though and keeps the full guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Rivera is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
Rivera slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Rivera advances to half guard.

Rivera passes the guard and advances to mount!
Rivera sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment.
Poor strikes thrown by Rivera there. More accuracy and less frantic strikes would help!

Rivera goes for an armbar but he's not got it… Bogdanas turns into him and now he's in Rivera's guard.
Rivera bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Bogdanas's guard.

Rivera not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.
Rivera slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Bogdanas is trying to escape the position but Rivera is controlling the position.

Rivera looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything.
Rivera looking to punish the body of his opponent here but Bogdanas is avoiding damage well.
Rivera looks to be in better condition than last time we saw him fight. Obviously he's been working hard on his cardio.
The strikes coming from Rivera are missing the target in this wave of attacks.
Rivera just content to control the position.
Rivera advances to full mount.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Bogdanas is in a horrible position here, under a barrage of strikes, he's managing to avoid any damage.

Rivera goes for an armbar but Bogdanas turns quickly into his guard - lovely anticipation from Bogdanas.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Some wild striking there from Bogdanas.
Rivera half commits to a counter takedown before pushing away, out of range.
Bogdanas throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Rivera.
Bogdanas tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Rivera tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Bogdanas paws at him with a jab and circles away.
A head kick misses from Bogdanas.

Rivera gets the takedown into side control.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
The referee tells the fighters to keep busy.
Rivera creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Bogdanas sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike.

Rivera has hold of Bogdanas's arm. He's looking for a kimura. Bogdanas seems comfortable defending it but Rivera has shifted his position slighty and is cranking on the arm! Bogdanas is real pain and he's forced to tap out! Bogdanas is disgusted with himself for not defending it better but Rivera couldn't care less - he's delighted!
