Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Felix Harvey (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and George Smith (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). George Smith looks lathargic as he enters the arena. Wake up son, you're about to have a fight!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Smith jabs Harvey right on the nose. Harvey blinks but takes it well.

Harvey is rocked!
Harvey avoids a kick to the body.
Oh Harvey is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
George Smith seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
A slow jab from Smith misses its intended target.
A combination from Harvey does no damage.
Harvey seems to have got his legs back now.
Smith fails to land with a series of punches.

so Harvey counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
Harvey controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Harvey.

Harvey seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Smith for as long as he can get away with.

Smith throws a series of strikes that have Harvey backpedaling.
Smith fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Harvey throws a big counter combination but Smith scrambles out of danger and avoids any damage.
Harvey looks to land a combination. Smith sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots.

Harvey went nuts there looking for a big combo counter but none of the flurry connected.
Smith throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped

and Harvey counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Harvey.
Harvey is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Smith can do to turn this around?

Harvey gets to his feet - Smith follows without any prompting.

Smith throws a sloppy head kick and Harvey moves out of range easily.
Harvey tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Smith pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.
Harvey lands with an uppercut that bounces Smith off the cage and back into range.

Smith lets it all go there with a big combo counter but none of the punches connected.

Good work by Harvey as he checks the leg kick.
Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Smith.
Smith throws a right and a left that Harvey avoids nicely.
Harvey throws a big counter combination but Smith scrambles out of danger and avoids any damage.
Smith goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.

Harvey is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Smith's half guard.
Smith is trying to escape back to his feet but Harvey uses the scramble to pass into side control.

Harvey stands up and beckons Smith to his feet.
George Smith seems to be getting the better of the standup.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Harvey shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
Harvey will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Harvey wants to stand up but Smith has a hold of him and won't allow it.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Harvey wants to get back to his feet.

Harvey stands up and beckons Smith to join him on the feet.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Harvey throws a wild body kick that Smith sees coming a mile off.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's time! Harvey's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. Let's get this one finished - here comes the final round!

Harvey changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Smith tries to avoid it but Harvey manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Smith to the ground. Smith escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Smith throws an overhand right that lands on Harvey's shoulder, as Harvey tries to avoid the shot.
No joy there for Harvey, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Smith throws a body shot but no joy.
Smith misses with a wild combination.
Harvey seem to be loading up, looking for a big counter.

Harvey tries to counter with a takedown but Smith is quick to defend against it.

Harvey shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.

Harvey stands up and waves to Smith to follow him.
Smith takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
Smith swings and misses with a hook to the body.

Harvey closes the distance and lands a one-two.
Harvey throws out a powerful jab.
Harvey pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.

Harvey clinches with his opponent.
Smith is trying to break the clinch but Harvey has him pressed against the cage.
Smith tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and Harvey avoids it.
Smith tries to break the clinch but Harvey is controlling the position.
Harvey jumps guard but Smith stands there with Harvey around his waist. Harvey gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Harvey is trying to pull guard but Smith has him pressed against the cage.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Felix Harvey. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Harvey has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Smith uses from the top position.
Harvey wants to stand and escape but Smith is having none of it.

Harvey is edging up against the cage. He's using the cage to get back to his feet. Nice work there - the fighters are clinched.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Harvey stands, ready to strike. The ref makes him back up and allows Smith to get to his feet.

Harvey is controlling the pace.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Smith is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Harvey stalling.

Harvey postures up and decides to stand up, from the half guard. The ref calls for Smith to stand up.

And that's the end of the fight!
Felix Harvey showed his dominance in that final round.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for Harvey, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
