Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Callum Smith (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Scorchio Whitehouse (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Scorchio Whitehouse will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Smith has taken the fight to the clinch.
Smith being controlled against the cage.
Whitehouse is trying to force a seperation but Smith has the dominant position.
Whitehouse is working hard here but doesn't seem to be able to control effectively, up against the cage.

Smith decides to pull guard.
Whitehouse showing good wrestling skills to control the position.
Smith will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Whitehouse pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Smith is keeping the position for now.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Smith pulls Whitehouse in close to prevent any damage.
Smith tries to land a sweep but no joy.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Whitehouse with a flurry of punches that miss.
Whitehouse trying to control the position from guard on top but Smith is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.
A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Smith holds on and takes a little breather.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.
Whitehouse throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Smith.

Smith closes the distance and clinches.
Whitehouse jumps guard but Smith turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing.

Smith pulls guard effortlessly.
Whitehouse pushing down on Smith's thigh, trying to pass to half guard. He's managed it... Nice work.
Smith moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.

Whitehouse is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Smith is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Smith has escaped and now he's on top!

Smith won't allow Whitehouse to get back to his feet.

Smith is trying to tuck his arms in to keep them safe but Whitehouse has managed to isolate one of them and has got a loose triangle. Smith is looking to defend but Whitehouse has done well to lock his legs together - this could be big trouble for Smith! Whitehouse pulls down on the head and a little smile comes across his face - he knows he's got it. Yep, Smith taps out and this one is all over!
