The judges for this bout are Daniel Blasius, Wagner Zegers and Albert Achterberg.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ford gets tackled into the cage by Gommers. Gommers maintains the clinch.
Gommers's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Ford fails in his attempt to clinch.
Ford fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Gommers looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Ford is fending him off so far but Gommers persists. Nope, Ford circles away and we're back to standing.
Ford shoots in for a takedown but Gommers shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Gommers lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!
It looks like Henry Ford has been cut.
Gommers shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Ford as he avoids it easily.
Ford misses with a body shot
and Gommers counters with a crisp one two that drops Ford! Gommers thinks about following him to the mat for a moment but instead steps back and waves Ford to his feet! Ford is in big trouble!
Ford is rocked!
This has been an exciting period of action!
Gommers fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Ford to the ground. Gommers is now in Ford's guard.
Oh Ford is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Gommers looking to control the position here, rather than advance.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Ford is pulling down on Gommers's head. It's preventing any offense from Gommers, at least for the moment.

Ford keeping moving, preventing Gommers from controlling successfully.
Ford seems to have got his legs back now.
Gommers wants to stand up, so he's looking to wriggle free of Ford's closed guard. He's half up but Ford has locked on to an arm! Uh oh! Ford pivots and extends the arm, Gommers falls face first to the mat and taps??... does he?? YES! He's tapping! Excellent counter grappling there by Ford! Well done that man!
