Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 5 - 0, fighting out of New York, Peter Redfield!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Atticus Hall!
The judges for this bout are Eddie Farnsworth, Franklyn Lucas and Jonathan Paton.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hall feints and then cracks Redfield's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Redfield down.
Good exchange - Hall coming out on top.
Hall will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Redfield definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
Hall misses with a hook.

Redfield has taken the fight to the clinch.
Redfield tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Hall's elbow.
Redfield blocking some punches.
Hall is trying to pull guard but Redfield turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch.
A head punch on the inside from Redfield fails to land.
Hall swings away with an uppercut that misses.

Hall pulls guard.

Hall looking for a guillotine here but Redfield defends easily.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

Redfield takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.

Hall is trying to get back to full guard.

Hall has guillotine here! It looks pretty tight! Could this be all over! No, Redfield escapes and passes into side control at the same time. Nice work there by Redfield!
Hall can't do much from the bottom here.
Hall is looking for a sweep.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Redfield is staying tight to Hall's torso, preventing him from escaping.
Redfield's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Redfield lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Hall at a distance.
Redfield scores with a jab to the body.

Redfield clinches.
Redfield digs a right hand into Hall's ribs. Those have got to be taking their toll on Hall's gas tank.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Hall jumps guard but Redfield turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing.
A short body shot lands from Hall as the two fighters clinch.

That was a close round but I would say that Peter Redfield will probably get the nod.

It looks like Peter Redfield has been cut.
Redfield uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Hall.

Hall takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
Hall misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Redfield.
Redfield jabs Hall right on the nose. Hall blinks but takes it well.
Redfield takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.
Hall misses with a straight left.
Redfield throws a sloppy body shot
and Hall cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Redfield takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
Hall throws a hook to the side of Redfield's head but Redfield sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Redfield scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one.
Redfield takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.

Hall tries to counter by closing the distance.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Redfield on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Hall. Hall obviously looking to wear him down.
Redfield throws a shot from downtown. Hall moves away and avoids it.
Hall lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.
Hall ducks under a wild hook from Redfield.

Hall tries to move into range but Redfield moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.

Hall paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.

Hall connects with a body shot that sends Redfield's belly button to the back.

Atticus Hall seems to be getting the better of the standup.
Hall ducks under a wild hook from Redfield.
Hall tries to move into range but Redfield moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.

Hall misses with a leg kick.
Redfield throws a body shot but no joy.
Hall appears to be waiting to throw a counter punch to the body.

enabling Redfield to counter with a crisp jab.
Redfield has not gone for a single takedown so far in this fight, which seems like a very strange tactic when you consider that he has the superior wrestling and BJJ.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Hall can do anything to dispel that myth.

Redfield tries to bum rush Hall with a series of wild strikes but Hall uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

Hall tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Redfield just stands there and leans against the cage.
Hall lands a short shot on the inside that snaps the head of Redfield backwards.

Hall has his foot on Redfield's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Redfield works his way back into a safe position though.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Redfield continues to stall.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Hall misses the shot to the body.

Redfield doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.

Hall looks to throw the jab but Redfield is out of range.
Redfield stuns Hall with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.

Redfield dips to his left and cracks Hall with an uppercut!
Hall takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
