Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Shane Gallagher (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Noah Johnson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Shane Gallagher!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Noah Johnson!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Tiny Johnson and George Francis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Johnson decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.

Gallagher kicks Johnson off and gets back to his feet.
Gallagher throws a head kick that misses.
Gallagher shoots in but no luck this time.
Johnson throws a counter combo.

Gallagher gets the takedown into side control.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Johnson is trying to improve his position.
Johnson manages to work his way to half guard, despite Gallagher's best efforts.
Johnson is pressing down on Gallagher's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.

Johnson has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Gallagher can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Gallagher avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Gallagher really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Gallagher avoids a guillotine attempt easily.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Gallagher decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.

Gallagher forces Johnson back against the cage and clinches.

Johnson tightens his grip and picks Gallagher up, before dumping him to the ground. Gallagher manages to land in guard.
Johnson is looking to advance position but Gallagher has hit a scissor sweep - now he's on top in mount!

Gallagher takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
Johnson is squirming around, avoiding Gallagher's attempts to control the action.

Johnson tries to lock up and control but Gallagher gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.

That was a close round but I would say that Shane Gallagher will probably get the nod.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

Johnson escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Gallagher gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

Johnson fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Gallagher sprawls well initially but Johnson persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Gallagher won't allow Johnson to pass to mount.
Gallagher is looking for a sweep. Johnson is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Gallagher knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Johnson on the ground.
Johnson not landing any meaningful shots this time.
Johnson missing with some ground and pound from the half guard.
Johnson tries to stand but his arm is trapped.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Johnson is trying to control. Gallagher wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.
It looks like Johnson is going to stand back up.

A close second round but Noah Johnson will probably get the nod - 10:9.

Johnson has his foot on Gallagher's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Gallagher works his way back into a safe position though.

Johnson has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Gallagher is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Johnson.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Gallagher misses with a shot to the kidneys.

Johnson drags the fight down to the ground.

Johnson isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Gallagher stacks Johnson on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Gallagher!
