Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Javi Castillejo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Al Capone (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Javi Castillejo has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Javi Castillejo!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Al Capone!
The judges for this bout are Albert Achterberg, Nard Betker and Paul Aken.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Castillejo will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Capone tries to counter by closing the distance.
Castillejo fails with a takedown attempt.
Castillejo shoots in for a takedown but Capone shows good takedown defense.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Javi Castillejo. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Capone is looking to score with low kicks.
Capone throws a low kick, looking for Castillejo's leg but Castillejo calmly moves out of range.
Capone shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Castillejo but Castillejo pushes him off and we're back to square one.

Capone moves into range and clinches up with Castillejo.

Capone ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Capone no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.
Capone pulls Castillejo in close to prevent any damage.

Castillejo avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Capone has control of Castillejo's left arm, preventing Castillejo from doing any damage.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Capone looking to hit a scissor sweep but Castillejo is one step ahead there.
Castillejo is fighting to break Capone's control of his arms but Capone is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Castillejo trying to control the position from guard on top but Capone is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Castillejo won't allow Capone to sweep him here.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.
Castillejo definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
Castillejo goes for a double leg but Capone avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Capone continues to drive forward.
Castillejo fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Capone avoids it really well and circles away.
Capone tries for a takedown but Castillejo sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
It looked like Castillejo was trying to counter with a body shot coming off that last attack from Capone.
Castillejo avoids the head kick by Capone.
Capone shoots in but Castillejo avoids the takedown attempt easily.

Capone stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Capone wants it to stay on the feet.
Capone shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Capone shoots for a double leg takedown but Castillejo sprawls well. He's pushed Capone's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

Capone moves into the clinch successfully.
Castillejo goes for a takedown in the clinch but Capone prevents it.
Castillejo has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Capone after a bit of a struggle.
Capone is trying to break the clinch but Castillejo is controlling him.
Capone is defending well against a takedown attempt.
Castillejo is breathing heavily.
Capone lands a body punch.

Capone ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Capone no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.
Capone is adopting a defensive guard.

Capone looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Capone not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Capone striking off his back but it's not causing Castillejo any problems.
Castillejo trying to control the position from guard on top but Capone is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

Al Capone dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.


Capone closes this distance looking for a takedown but Castillejo circles away.
Castillejo seemed to be looking to counter by closing the distance.

Capone moves into the clinch.
Capone stops a takedown attempt from Castillejo.
Capone has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
Castillejo is trying to slow down the pace in the clinch, to catch his breath.
Castillejo throws an elbow but it's blocked.
Capone is defending well against a takedown attempt.
Castillejo tries to pull guard but Capone won't allow it.

Capone gets control of Castillejo's arms and successfully pulls guard. Capone will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.

Castillejo drops back, looking for a kneebar! Capone looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Capone looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Capone!

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Capone thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.

Capone tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Capone has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
Castillejo avoids any damage from the ground and pound of Capone.
Capone looking to punish the body of his opponent here but Castillejo is avoiding damage well.

Capone decides to stand back up.

No luck for Capone with that takedown attempt.
Castillejo on the wrong end of a nice hook.
Castillejo misses with a takedown attempt - Capone sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
A nice side step and Capone releases a counter shot to the body, but it doesn't find it's home.

Capone takes the fight into the clinch.
Capone is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage.

Capone is scooting his butt against the cage and has managed to get back to his feet. Castillejo presses him back against the cage, presumably looking to take the fight back to the mat.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Castillejo prevents Capone from breaking the clinch.
Capone gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Castillejo.
Castillejo has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.
Capone looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now.

Capone pulls guard successfully.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Capone is trying to control the position but Castillejo postures up.

Al Capone showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! And we move into the final round!

Castillejo struggles to land a body shot inside as Capone controls his hands.
Capone looking for a takedown.
Capone has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Castillejo is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.

Capone pulls guard successfully.
Capone pulls Castillejo in close to his closed guard and prevents Castillejo from doing any damage or advancing position.

Capone is scooting his butt against the cage and has managed to get back to his feet. Castillejo presses him back against the cage, presumably looking to take the fight back to the mat.

Castillejo feints and then cracks Capone's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Capone down.
Castillejo shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Capone as he avoids it easily.

Castillejo shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Castillejo was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!

Capone explodes and escapes back to his feet! Nice escape there!
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Capone tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Castillejo swivels and escapes.
Javi Castillejo has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Al Capone.
Capone pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Al Capone seems to be getting the better of the standup.
Castillejo blocks a head kick by Capone.
Castillejo drops down looking for a counter takedown but Capone sprawls and moves away.

Capone clinches up with Castillejo and pushes him back against the cage.

Castillejo has Capone pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Castillejo pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Capone tumbling to the mat - Castillejo dives into Capone's guard.

Capone has managed to wall walk up one of the corner posts to get back to his feet. Castillejo is pushing him up against the cage, looking to control the position.

Capone has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Castillejo clear over his head and slammed him to the mat!

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Capone is looking cool and calm here, just waiting for a good opportunity to attack and finish the fight from this dominant position.
Castillejo is trying to stand back up.
Capone slows the pace down here. Having a little breather whilst he's in a dominant position, looking to rest and regain some energy, ready to go for the finish.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Castillejo avoids the strikes from Capone.
Capone keeps control of the position as Castillejo tries to break free.
Capone controlling the position well here. Castillejo rolled but Capone kept the hooks locked in and stayed in the dominant position.

Al Capone comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Capone has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
