Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Wi Tu Lo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Evgeniy Malkin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Malkin comes into a darkened arena with his song building. The Heavy - How You Like Me Now? kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Malkin keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Malkin feints the counter takedown.
Lo lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.
Lo lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Malkin circles away quickly and effectively.
Lo misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Malkin.
A little jabbing left from Malkin on the counter but it doesn't find it's target.
Malkin takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Malkin ducks under a wild hook from Lo.
Lo throws a jab when Malkin was well out of range.
And an attempted straight right on the counter from Malkin! But no joy.

It looked like Lo wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit.
Lo throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Malkin sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Malkin throws out a counter right but Lo avoids it with no problem.

and Malkin counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.

and Malkin counters with a leg kick.
Lo misses with a looping right.
Lo looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Lo looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.

Malkin has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.
Malkin lunges at Lo with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Lo's hand.
Malkin avoids a lazy jab quite easily.

and Malkin counters with a nice leg kick.
Malkin throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Lo on the side of the head.
Wi Tu Lo is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Wi Tu Lo seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Lo takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.
Malkin throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Lo's waist but Lo gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Malkin off to one side.

Malkin throws a right and a left that Lo avoids nicely.
Lo tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Malkin was well out of range. Poor timing from Lo.

Malkin shoots in for a takedown but Lo shows good takedown defense.
Lo gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there.
Lo throws a lazy right hand but Malkin sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Lo misses with a two punch combination.

A left lands for Malkin.

and Malkin counters with a nice body kick.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Malkin fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Wi Tu Lo has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Evgeniy Malkin.
Lo throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Malkin stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Lo connects with a jab.
Lo throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Malkin tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away.
Lo uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Malkin.
Malkin drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.
Lo throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Malkin tests Lo's chin there with a solid looking shot.
The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Malkin misses with a low kick.
A little feinted left hand from Lo on the counter but he doesn't commit to it.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Wi Tu Lo will probably get the nod.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

Lo ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Malkin moves away.
Lo looks to throw the jab but Malkin is out of range.
Malkin cracks Lo with an open hand slap.
Lo throws an overhand right that lands on Malkin's shoulder, as Malkin tries to avoid the shot.
Lo throws a hook but Malkin blocks it.
Lo throws a right hand that Malkin ducks under and follows up with a left that Malkin also avoids with ease.

Lo swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Malkin looks like he wants to counter punch here.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

That kick from Malkin tenderised Lo's leg. Lo is trying to keep his angry face on.
Both these guys seem content to just stand up and trade with eachother but Malkin might want to think about changing up his gameplan a bit because over the course of the fight, Lo has got the better of the exchanges.

Malkin dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Lo. That did some damage!
Lo throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Lo takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.
Oooooh!!! Lo has knocked Malkin down with a huge combo! Lo steps away and waves a wobbly Malkin back to his feet! This one might not go much longer!

Lo lands a jab and follows it up with a massive straight that knocks Malkin out cold! Malkin is crumpled in the corner, his head only propped up by the cage! That's one for the organiziational promos right there! Wow, what a finish!
