Velasquez comes into the arena with Accept's Balls To The Wall blaring out of the sound system. Juan Velasquez has a significant reach advantage - let's see if he can make it count.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Velasquez cracks Daross with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.

Daross will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Velasquez throws a leg kick but he was too far away and it doesn't land.
Daross avoids a lazy jab quite easily.

Velasquez takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
Daross is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot.

Daross has closed the distance and engaged Velasquez in a clinch.

Velasquez wants to get back to striking at distance but Daross won't allow it.
The fighters are pressed against the cage, as the pace of the fight slows.

Daross has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Velasquez finds it's way round the side to connect with Daross's head.

and Velasquez finishes the little exchange by landing a big kick to the body.
Oh Velasquez is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Hendrik Daross seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Daross cracks Velasquez with a nasty uppercut that draws ooohs from the crowd and sends Velasquez tumbling backwards onto the mat. He tries to recover but Daross pounces and lands a hail of unanswered strikes that forces the referee to step in to end the fight! Velasquez is not happy but he gave the referee no choice!
