Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Lucius Perkins (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Robert Kelly (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Lucius Perkins!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Robert Kelly!
The judges for this bout are Dillan Fox, Ian Loll and Alec Ball.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Perkins has a takedown stuffed.

Kelly scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.
Kelly tries to advance to mount but Perkins denies him.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Kelly remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.
Kelly trying to control the position but Perkins is working away.

Perkins tries to buck Kelly off but Kelly is having none of it.
Kelly lands a decent elbow from side control.
Perkins manages to work his way to half guard, despite Kelly's best efforts.
Perkins moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.
Kelly working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.

Kelly pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Perkins is keeping the position for now.
Kelly looking to sit in guard and control but Perkins gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

Kelly pulls Perkins in close to prevent any damage.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Kelly really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Perkins. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Perkins throwing strikes from guard but Kelly blocks nicely.

Kelly throws a couple of weedy looking strikes off his back.
Kelly is looking to sweep but instead, Perkins has passed into half guard.
Perkins stops Kelly from getting back to his feet.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Perkins throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.
Perkins drops an elbow to the side of Kelly's head.

Perkins seems to be looking for submissions.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Kelly wants to control but Perkins is keeping busy and won't allow it.
Perkins not throwing his punches with enough precision this time.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

Kelly shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Perkins's guard.
Perkins is trying to keep Kelly in close.
Kelly trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Perkins is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Perkins is looking to sweep but instead, Kelly has passed into half guard.

The fight stays on the outside here - Kelly looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

Perkins moves into range and clinches up with Kelly.

Perkins escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Perkins regains full guard. Nicely done.
Kelly has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
Perkins controlling the position.
Kelly throws a strike but Perkins rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.


Kelly looking for subs off his back but Perkins has passed one foot through into half guard.
Kelly wants to get back to full guard.
Kelly keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.

Kelly is trying to maintain the position but Perkins is very close to passing his half guard.

Perkins is looking for a kimura but Kelly is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Perkins to get the leverage.
The fighters are battling for position here. Kelly manages to regain full guard. Nice work.

Kelly looks to move to half guard but instead Perkins has passed into mount! Damn!

Kelly tries to control Perkins's body but Perkins pushes him off. Kelly squirms to his side and now Perkins has his back!

Kelly tries to escape but Perkins has the hooks in and won't let him break free.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!


Perkins tries to grapple but his opponent circles

and Kelly decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Perkins's guard.
Kelly throws a strike but Perkins rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.

Kelly is looking to sweep but instead, Perkins has passed into half guard.
Kelly tries to regain full guard. Instead though, Perkins has advanced to mount. Uh oh.

Perkins seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.
Perkins thows a huge punch but Kelly dodges it nicely.
Perkins is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position.
Perkins is trying to control. Kelly wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Kelly wants to sweep but Perkins has passed to side control!
Kelly parries the strikes from Perkins easily there. Perkins is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Kelly to escape.

Perkins lands some shots froms side control.

Perkins thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.

Kelly is trying to get back to half guard.
Kelly trying his best to control but Perkins has mounted him.
Kelly working to try and regain half guard.

Perkins swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Kelly is now in Perkins's guard. A big mistake from Perkins there, giving up the dominant position!

Perkins is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Perkins can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Kelly controls the pace.
Perkins is trying to control the position from the bottom.

Kelly trying to control the position from guard on top but Perkins is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Perkins manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Kelly manages to get himself to full guard.

Well Perkins has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
