The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Croce clinches with his opponent.
Ortiz tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Croce smiles and moves away.

Croce changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Ortiz looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Ortiz tries to bench press Croce off him but Croce keeps the position.
Croce is maintaining the dominant position - no doubt Ortiz will start to get frustrated soon if he's not already.
Croce landing with strikes to the head and body from side control.
Croce lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Ortiz down.
Ortiz tries to buck Croce off but Croce is having none of it.

Croce decides to stand back up. Croce steps back and let's Ortiz get back to his feet.
Tommy Croce seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Croce darts in looking for a takedown but Ortiz gets double underhooks and turns Croce into the cage.
A quick step to the side and Ortiz tries to counter with a shot to the body but it doesn't connect.

Ortiz clinches with his opponent.

Croce manages to break the clinch.
Ortiz fails with a takedown attempt.
Ortiz could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Croce looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it.
Ortiz looked to counter that last move with a leg kick but didn't pull the trigger.
Ortiz stuffs the takedown attempt from Croce. Croce gets slowly back to his feet.
Ortiz thinks about countering with a head kick.
