Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Drestin Black (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kevin Furlotte (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Drestin Black!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Cecil Peabody, Frank Dennis and Robert Twigg.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Black throws a decent looking leg kick but it doesn't land clean.
Black misses with a wild body shot.
Furlotte bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Black tries to score with a low kick but Furlotte moves his leg out of the way.
Black throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Furlotte.
Furlotte takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
Black pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
Furlotte walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.
A head kick from Furlotte lands but Black takes it in his stride.

Black buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Black swings for the body but Furlotte moves out of range.
Furlotte shoots for a takedown but Black saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.

Black buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Furlotte shoots in but no luck this time.

Black wants to clinch up but Furlotte keeps it at a distance.

Black digs a good hook to Furlotte's body.
Black connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.

Furlotte shoots in for a takedown but Black shows good takedown defense.

Black moves into range and clinches up with Furlotte.

Black lands a nice elbow from the clinch.
Black is pushing Furlotte up against the cage, for a bit of lean and pray action. Action being used the in the loosest possible sense of the word.
Black lands with a short head shot on the inside.
Black lands an elbow that stopped Furlotte in his tracks for a moment.

Black is clearly stalling here... Pick up the pace son.
Black with the Thai clinch. He's looking to land a big knee but he's not managed it this time.
Furlotte tries to score a body lock takedown but Black shows good agility there to stay on his feet.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Furlotte is trying desperately to land a takedown but Black is having absolutely none of it. This is turning into a bit of a nightmare for Furlotte.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Furlotte shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
Black looks like he's trying to stand up.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Black misses with a jab, cross combination.
Furlotte changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Black tries to avoid it but Furlotte manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Black to the ground. Black escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Black fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Furlotte.
Black tries to bum rush Furlotte with a series of wild strikes but Furlotte uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Furlotte.
Furlotte misses with a takedown attempt - Black sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Drestin Black has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Kevin Furlotte.
Black looks to land a left hand but Furlotte moved out of range nicely.
Drestin Black is winning the standup battle so far.

Furlotte changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Black looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

Drestin Black seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Black throws a wild combination but nothing lands.

Furlotte feints and as Black raises his hands in defense, Furlotte changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.

Black pushes Furlotte off and gets back to his feet.
Furlotte takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.

Furlotte throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Black's waist but Black gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Furlotte off to one side.

Horrible takedown by Furlotte or perhaps it was just good defense by Black which made him look bad.

I would just about give that final round to Kevin Furlotte.
