PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between William Wallace (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Edward Dominguez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Wallace might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to BraveHeart. I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Wallace has his takedown stuffed

and Dominguez counters by moving into the clinch.
Wallace has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Dominguez avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.

Dominguez ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Dominguez no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.

There's a bit of a scramble here and now Dominguez is on top in guard.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Dominguez slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
Dominguez passes Wallace's right leg, so he's now in half guard.

Dominguez is working for a kimura but Wallace is defending it quite comfortably.
Wallace knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Dominguez on the ground.
Dominguez working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.

Dominguez gets to his feet - back to striking we go!
Wallace will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.

Wallace shoots in and drives through. Dominguez sprawls well.
Dominguez throws a head kick but Wallace moves out of range.
Wallace really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Dominguez fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Wallace to the ground. Dominguez is now in Wallace's guard.
Dominguez is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
