Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Coleman Osborn (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ronnie Hillard (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Hillard has chosen See Nann Nigga as his entrance music. Both fighters really staring each other down here, as Ronnie Hillard enters the cage!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Coleman Osborn!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Ronnie Hillard!
The judges for this bout are Hugh Johnson, Summer Carpenter and Ron Honeybunn.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Osborn gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Hillard to score an easy takedown into full guard.
Connects with an elbow from the bottom, proving to the judges that he's still active off his back.

Hillard got a little sloppy there for a moment and Osborn has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Hillard has managed to get both his arms back between Osborn's legs - danger averted.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Osborn looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Hillard postures up in Osborn's guard and throws a big left but Osborn blocks it.
Osborn wants to sweep but no luck.

Osborn is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Hillard defends well.
Hillard wants to get up but he can't break Osborn's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Hillard wants to pass the guard but Osborn is keeping the position.
Hillard must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.

Hillard gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.

Hillard's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not.
Osborn is trying to pull guard but Hillard has him pressed against the cage.

Osborn postures up.
Osborn is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.
Osborn lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard.

Hillard is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Hillard is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Osborn could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.

Hillard throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Osborn was covering up waiting for the punch and Hillard finishes the takedown easily into guard.
Osborn lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.

Osborn trying to control the position from guard on top but Hillard is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Hillard tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Hillard utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
Hammerfist, elbow! yells Osborn's corner. There ya go! There ya go!

Hillard looking to hit a scissor sweep but Osborn is one step ahead there.

Osborn connects with a couple of short punches.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Osborn postures up and lands some nice ground and pound.
Osborn is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound.

Osborn clinches with his opponent.
Osborn blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning.
Osborn goes for a takedown attempt but Hillard pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Hillard swings for the body but Osborn moves out of range.
A counter left hand to the body from Osborn misses its target.
Hillard swats away the attempt to clinch by Osborn.
Hillard throws a nice inside leg kick.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Hillard is looking to clinch.

Hillard has managed to clinch.

Hillard has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but Osborn regains guard immediately.

Osborn wants to sweep but no luck.
Osborn thows some rabbit punches from the bottom but they don't do any damage.
Hillard wants to get up but he can't break Osborn's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.

Osborn is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
Osborn wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Hillard accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.

Osborn is looking for a triangle but Hillard pushes his legs off easily.

Osborn working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Hillard doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Hillard manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Hillard works a leg free and moves into half guard.

Hillard wants to work for an arm triangle but Osborn is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Hillard tries to stand but his arm is trapped.
Hillard landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent.

Hillard is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Osborn doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Hillard.

Osborn has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Hillard is working away from the top position though.

Ronnie Hillard showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. This is the final round!

Hillard stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Osborn swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

Osborn pulls Hillard in close to his closed guard and prevents Hillard from doing any damage or advancing position.
Osborn controls Hillard momentarily but Hillard frees himself.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Hillard has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

A quick uppercut on the inside from Hillard.
The fighters are pressed against the cage, as the pace of the fight slows.

Osborn tightens his grip and picks Hillard up, before dumping him to the ground. Hillard manages to land in guard.

Hillard uses the cage to get back to his feet.
Osborn has not gone for a single takedown so far in this fight, which seems like a very strange tactic when you consider that he has the superior wrestling and BJJ.

Hillard closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Hillard decides to stand and escape the position.
Osborn chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Hillard can pounce on him.
Hillard connects with a solid leg kick.

Hillard closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Osborn did well to prevent Hillard getting side control.

Ronnie Hillard comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Hillard has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
