Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Lyoto Rua (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mike Maczynsky (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Maczynsky has chosen Hymn as his entrance music. I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Mike Maczynsky was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Maczynsky fails to land with a series of punches.
Rua throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Maczynsky.
Rua pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.
Rua avoids the head kick by Maczynsky.
Rua shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Maczynsky pinned against the cage. Maczynsky gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Rua sees a low kick coming and goes to check it, but it's actually a body kick and it thuds into his unprotected ribs.
Rua blocks the body kick.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Rua doesn't succeed with the takedown
and he gets countered with a snapping leg kick.
Rua is breathing heavily.
Rua takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.
Maczynsky turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.
Maczynsky thuds his right hand into Rua's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.

Rua throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Maczynsky tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Rua is in Maczynsky's guard.

Maczynsky is working an open guard so Rua takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.
Maczynsky throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Maczynsky fakes a jab and scores with a low kick.

Rua closes the distance and pushes Maczynsky back into the cage.
Maczynsky is trying to push Rua away but Rua has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.

Rua shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Maczynsky counters with a head kick. That will keep Rua thinking before he tries any more sloppy attacks!

Maczynsky tries to bum rush Rua with a series of wild strikes but Rua uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Rua tries to counter by moving into the clinch but Maczynsky manages to circle out of the way.
Rua looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple.

Rua shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Maczynsky napping and manages to drive through into side control!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Maczynsky manages to get back to half guard.
Maczynsky is not content to let Rua control the position.
Maczynsky blocking the ground and pound attempt from Rua.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Rua might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

Rua is pulling down on Maczynsky's head. It's preventing any offense from Maczynsky, at least for the moment.

Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Rua takes a nasty kick to the mid section... That should keep him thinking. Does he try and block and risk a head kick landing?
Rua takes a push kick to the midsection and stumbles backwards.
Maczynsky has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
Maczynsky throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Rua stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Maczynsky goes for a high kick. It partially lands.
Rua walks forward, straight into a front kick from Maczynsky.
Rua closes the distance looking to clinch
and Maczynsky counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Mike Maczynsky seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Maczynsky is looking to slow Rua down with leg kicks.
Rua shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Maczynsky counters with a head kick that wobbles Rua - left then right he sways and one more bomb from Maczynsky sends him down. This one is all over!
