Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Alec Ball, William Peck and Elvis Blanc.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jackson blocks a low kick nicely.
Sheppard throws a decent looking leg kick but it doesn't land clean.

Sheppard really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Sheppard is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Jackson is looking to take a break and control but Sheppard is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

That was a close round but I would say that Val Sheppard will probably get the nod.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

Jackson rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Sheppard moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

Jackson is pressed up against the cage. Sheppard has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Jackson down to the mat. Jackson avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.

Jackson shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Sheppard sprawls well. Sheppard wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Jackson gets slowly back to his feet.

Sheppard has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Jackson avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.
Sheppard tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Jackson just stands there and leans against the cage.

Jackson has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Jackson there as he acknowledges the shot.

Sheppard tried to counter with a leg kick but Jackson avoided it.
Sheppard throws a jab but it's blocked by Jackson.
That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Sheppard crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Jackson - the referee stops the clock and Sheppard gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Jackson. Sheppard manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.

As Jackson backs away, Sheppard returns fire with a leg kick that just misses.
