Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Hai Robbins (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Henry Ford (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Henry Ford has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Hai Robbins's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Hai Robbins!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Henry Ford!
The judges for this bout are Patrick Alders, Saam Ante and Wagner Zegers.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ford throws a leg kick
and Robbins counters with a solid body kick.
The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as Robbins checks a leg kick.

Ford closes the distance and clinches.
Ford tries to circle away but Robbins has him pinned against the cage.
Ford lands a shoulder strike.

Ford gets control of Robbins's arms and successfully pulls guard. Ford will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Robbins postures up in Ford's guard and throws a big left but Ford blocks it.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Robbins really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
Ford is pressing down on Robbins's thigh, looking to free his foot. Robbins is holding on for now.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.

Ford forces Robbins back against the cage and clinches.

Ford gets the body lock takedown. After a quick scramble, Robbins regains guard.
Robbins looking to hit a scissor sweep but Ford is one step ahead there.
Ford tries to free his leg and advance position but Robbins is retaining full guard.

Robbins with a couple of shots from the bottom there - nothing Ford can't handle though.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

Ford drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
Ford wants to control from the top but Robbins keeps moving.
Ford throws a strike but Robbins rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.

The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.



Ford rushes Robbins and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.

Robbins escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Robbins avoids a punch combination nicely.
Ford throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Robbins stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Robbins sizes up Ford with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle.

Robbins will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Ford escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Robbins gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Robbins postures up in Ford's guard and throws a big left but Ford blocks it.

Robbins gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.
Ford tries to score with an inside leg kick but telegraphs it and Robbins is able to avoid easily.
Hai Robbins is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Robbins enables Ford to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Robbins manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
Robbins controls Ford momentarily but Ford frees himself.
Ford controls the pace of the fight for a moment.

Ford decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Robbins, up you get!

Ford swings wildly with a couple of big hooks

and Robbins decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Ford's guard.
Robbins postures up.
Ford is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Robbins is controlling him.
Robbins has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
Robbins stands up over Ford, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.

Ford manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Robbins manages to get himself to full guard.

That's time! Robbins's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. This is the final round!


Ford pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Robbins back to the cage. Ford follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver.


Robbins is rocked!


It looks like Hai Robbins has been cut.

Ford shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
Oh Robbins is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!

Ford stands up from half guard... He's had enough of that ground malarky for the time being.

Ford closes the distance looking for a takedown. Robbins stuffs it but Ford still has hold of him. Ford picks Robbins up in a fireman's lift! The crowd roars in approval. Ford slams Robbins to the floor and that's really hurt Robbins - he doesn't know where he is! Ford throws a couple of strikes and the referee steps in to save him! This one is in the books!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:22 of round 3, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Henry Ford!
