The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Marshall leaves Dennis with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.

Marshall rushes Dennis and presses him up against the cage.

Dennis has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but Marshall regains guard immediately.

Marshall has his feet on Dennis's hips. He pushes off and gets to his feet. Nice work.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Billy Marshall seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Marshall drives through and clinches with Dennis against the cage.

Marshall is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Dennis doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Marshall.
Marshall uses his free foot to push down on Dennis's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Dennis.

Marshall misses with a series of strikes from mount. He'll no doubt be working on his ground and pound when he gets back to the gym.

Marshall changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Dennis looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
It's a brutal combination of punches from Marshall! Dennis is backing up but he can't get away as Marshall lands with one final shot to the jaw that drops Dennis and ends the fight. Great knockout.
