Lopez's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Hurriganes - Get On. Bronson has chosen Harmonica as his entrance music. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lopez changes levels and scores with a jab to the body.

Lopez was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger.

Lopez throws a shot from downtown. Bronson moves away and avoids it.

Bronson avoids a lazy jab quite easily.

Lopez missing with a left hand there. Bronson was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Bronson connects with a right hand. Lopez shakes it off.
Bronson lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.

Bronson thuds his right hand into Lopez's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.

It looks like Pedro Lopez has been cut.
Lopez throws a jab but it's blocked by Bronson.
Bronson swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made.
Bronson moves forwards but Lopez connects with a nice, crisp jab.
We've been informed that Bronson has been sparring a lot of Muay Thai in the buildup to this fight so let's see if that has an impact on the result.
Lopez lands with an uppercut that bounces Bronson off the cage and back into range.

Bronson throws a big counter head kick but Lopez avoids it with no problem.

Bronson has used his reach advantage pretty well so far tonight.

Lopez bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Lopez tries to counter with a takedown but Bronson is quick to defend against it.
Lopez has been working on his balance at Bellator in Machina ($500), so perhaps that has help him stuff some of the takedown attempts by Bronson.

Lopez is really head hunting here, hardly looking to strike to the body at all.

and Bronson counters with a nice uppercut.
Lopez tries to bum rush Bronson with a series of wild strikes but Bronson uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

Bronson lands a left and a right that send Lopez crashing to the mat, dazed. Bronson thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!

Lopez is rocked!
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Bronson lands hard precision jab right on the jaw that stiffens Lopez up and sends him tumbling to the mat! The ref grabs Bronson from behind before he can pounce. Some folks in the crowd didn't like that stoppage, but I saw Lopez's eyes roll way back in his head, he was done.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:51 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Charles Bronson!
A relieved looking Charles Bronson thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
