Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Diamendes lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but McScared circles away quickly and effectively.
Diamendes misses with the combination.
Diamendes misses with a jab, cross combination.
Diamendes looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.

Diamendes throws a combination but it was largely blocked by McScared.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Diamendes throws a series of punches but McScared moves out of range.
Diamendes will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

McScared has managed to clinch.

McScared is trying to trip Diamendes. He has hold of a leg but Diamendes is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. McScared persists though and gets the takedown into guard.
The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.
McScared connects with a couple of short punches.

McScared stands and steps away. Diamendes gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.

McScared forces Diamendes back against the ropes and clinches.
McScared drops down looking for an ankle pick but Diamendes pulls his leg out and moves away.

McScared gets a takedown into half guard.
Diamendes really doesn't want to stay on the ground with McScared. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
McScared moves nicely into side control.
McScared cracks Diamendes with a big right hand but Diamendes just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.
McScared moves into full mount!
McScared has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

McScared is giving the impression that he's looking to ground and pound but he switches suddenly into a beautiful far side armbar! Diamendes is forced to tap! Great finish!
