The judges for this bout are Matheus Silva, Felipe Paraventi and Seu Braga.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Best moves forwards but Failon connects with a nice, crisp jab.
Failon cracks Best with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.
Failon lands a nice hook to Best's body. Best takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.
Ted Failon seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Best's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Failon connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Best scrambles back to his feet.
Best really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Best tries to score a power double leg takedown but Failon sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Best somewhat.

Best with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Failon to score with a decent uppercut.

Best throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Failon's waist but Failon gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Best off to one side.

Best takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.

This is turning into a torrid day at the office for Best. He's trying desperately to land a takedown but he's failing miserably and getting slapped silly on the feet to compound his misery.
