The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
McGobblecock, Jr. swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Wright.
A solid leg kick lands there for McGobblecock, Jr..
McGobblecock, Jr. looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
McGobblecock, Jr. scores with a hook.
No joy there for McGobblecock, Jr., who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Wright staying out of range there.

Wright lands a big head kick that sends McGobblecock, Jr. tumbling to the mat! Wright takes a step backwards and waves McGobblecock, Jr. back to his feet - he wants the finish!

It looks like BJ McGobblecock, Jr. has been cut.

Wright moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.

Wright feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends McGobblecock, Jr. sprawling to the canvas! McGobblecock, Jr. rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Wright finish him?!

McGobblecock, Jr. is rocked!
A head kick by McGobblecock, Jr. misses
and Wright rattles McGobblecock, Jr. with a well-timed uppercut counter. - McGobblecock, Jr. tries to back away and recover but his hands are down low and he gets tagged again, sending him stumbling down to the canvas. Wright dives in after him and quickly finishes the job with a trio of brutal punches, leaving McGobblecock, Jr. stiff and motionless on the mat!

After the fight, Jermaine Wright was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
