The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Clarkson tries a head kick but it misses.

Clarkson scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.

Andrews sneaks out the side door and pushes Clarkson away - he's back to his feet. The crowd show their appreciation for the escape.

Clarkson closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Clarkson lands in his opponent's guard.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Clarkson stands up and waves to Andrews to follow him.

Clarkson clinches up with Andrews and pushes him back against the cage.
Andrews fails to pull guard.

Clarkson breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

Andrews gets caught napping as Clarkson dives in and scores a takedown. Andrews manages to retain guard.

Andrews is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Clarkson is controlling him.

Andrews manages to escape and get back to his feet.
Clarkson throws a body kick but he wasn't in range.
Clarkson misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
A left and a right from Clarkson both land. Nice combination.

It looks like Claudio Andrews has been cut.

Clarkson clinches.
Andrews is looking to take this one to the mat.
Clarkson lands a body punch in the clinch.

Andrews is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Clarkson gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Claudio Andrews. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Clarkson escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Clarkson throws a right and a left that Andrews avoids nicely.
A little feinted left hand from Andrews on the counter but he doesn't commit to it.
Nice defenses there by Clarkson.

Clarkson shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.

Andrews misses with some strikes from the bottom.
Andrews is looking to escape.
Andrews is not content to let Clarkson control the position.
Clarkson stops Andrews from getting back to his feet.
Clarkson is trying to control the action in half guard but Andrews is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.

Clarkson decides he's had enough of the ground and stands up.
Clarkson lands a brutal head kick. Andrews looks out on his feet and Clarkson throws more strikes until the ref is forced to stop the fight!
