The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gutierrez doesn't manage to clinch there - Sayan circles away.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Gutierrez.
Gutierrez is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
Gutierrez throws a nice outside leg kick.
Some bone on bone action there as Gutierrez checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one.
Sayan tries for a takedown but Gutierrez sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.

Sayan feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
