Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Lawrence Cohen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rolando Gracie (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Cohen comes to the cage accompanied by Season in the Abyss. Lawrence Cohen has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Steve Montenegro, John Kavanagh and Lou da Vinci.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
No luck for Cohen with that takedown attempt.
Gracie shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Gracie showed some decent athleticism there.
Gracie is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Cohen doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Gracie.
Gracie is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Cohen sees it coming and defends easily.
Cohen trying to hold on to Gracie's head to control him but Gracie postures up.
Gracie seems to be working for a kimura but Cohen defends the submission attempt.

Gracie takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Cohen gets back to full guard.
Cohen throws a couple of weedy looking strikes off his back.
Gracie thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Cohen working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Gracie doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Gracie manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Cohen had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Gracie is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Cohen Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Gracie's back instead.
Cohen controlling well, preventing Gracie from escaping the position.
Gracie defends a rear naked choke attempt by controlling one of Cohen's arms.

Gracie turns into Cohen and is now in his guard.
Gracie is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.

Cohen is trying to control the position but Gracie postures up.
Cohen looking to hit a scissor sweep but Gracie is one step ahead there.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Gracie scores with a decent looking elbow strike.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Gracie connects with a solid leg kick.
Good work by Cohen as he checks the leg kick.
Cohen fails with the takedown
and Gracie counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Cohen!
Cohen tries to lock up and control but Gracie gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
Cohen is looking to get to half guard.
Gracie trying to control but he's not successful this time.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Rolando Gracie dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Gracie throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Cohen shoots and misses
and Gracie counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Gracie.
Cohen looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! Gracie has picked Cohen up and slammed him! Cohen can't keep hold of the triangle and Gracie manages to pass to side control!
Gracie wants to control but Cohen is keeping him busy.
Gracie gets to mount! Cohen was on the offensive and wasn't defending properly.
Gracie prevents Cohen from getting the reversal.
Gracie wants to finish this one by submission but Cohen is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Gracie.
Gracie moves into side control, trying to work for a kimura. That looks painful! Will he finish!!?? No, Cohen has worked his arm free - good work by Cohen!
Gracie is breathing heavily.

Gracie is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Cohen has escaped the position, nice work there.
Cohen is trying to improve his position.
Gracie is trying to get an arm triangle but Cohen is defending well.
Gracie tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Gracie has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Cohen is not content to let Gracie control the position.
Cohen is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Gracie's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Gracie's back!
Cohen has his opponent's back and is working for the choke.
A lull in the action here.
Gracie looks to control his opponent's hands but he's not mananging it at the moment.

Gracie tries to escape the position - he's now mounted. Is that better or worse? Hard to tell!
Gracie flailing away with punches but nothing is landing.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Cohen wants to control the pace but Gracie is squirming around nicely.
Gracie looking to escape from mount but he's given up his back!
Gracie just trying to survive but Cohen is wriggling into a better position, looking to finish.
Gracie is trying to avoid being dragged into an even worse position than he's already in but Cohen is staying active.
Cohen is throwing strikes by Gracie counters by rolling into a better position. After a scramble, Gracie regains half guard.
Cohen is trying to control the action in half guard but Gracie is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Gracie looking for submissions from an awkward position here.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Gracie swings for the body but Cohen moves out of range.
Cohen blocks a head kick by Gracie.
Gracie misses with an uppercut.
Cohen doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Gracie counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Gracie.

Rolando Gracie showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.

Cohen wants to lay and pray for a moment but Gracie keeps working.
Cohen is working for a kimura but Gracie is defending it quite comfortably.

Gracie makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Gracie.
Gracie is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.

Cohen pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Gracie is keeping the position for now.
Gracie takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Gracie holds on and takes a little breather.

Gracie has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Cohen can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
