Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Rickard Humm (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sven Svensson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Svensson comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Minus Celsius - Backyard Babies kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Sven Svensson is staring across the cage at his opponent, tweaking his nipples.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Rickard Humm!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Sven Svensson!
The judges for this bout are Joseph Jones, Lou da Vinci and Jonathan Paton.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Svensson gets caught flat footed, as Humm shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
Humm landing some decent shots from guard.
Humm advances to half guard.
Svensson on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound.
Humm trying to pass the guard but Svensson defending well.

Humm looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

Humm is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Svensson defends it well.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Humm passes the guard and advances to mount!

Humm putting on the heat here with some good ground and pound!

Humm looking for an armbar but decides to keep the dominant position instead.

Humm is working for a guillotine from mount but Svensson frees his head quite easily.

Humm has hold of Svensson's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Svensson manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.

Humm working for a submission but Svensson is keeping him at bay.

Humm is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Svensson has managed to escape the submission attempt.

Humm throwing sloppy strikes here. Perhaps if he tightened up his striking from such a dominant position, he'd be able to finish easier.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Humm cracks Svensson with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.

Humm is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Svensson to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Svensson shrugs it off.
Humm sends his fist crashing into the mat - the crowd let out a collective ooooooh. Let's hope he's not broken it!
Svensson is trying to stand up.

Humm swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Svensson is now in Humm's guard. A big mistake from Humm there, giving up the dominant position!
This has been an exciting period of action!
Svensson with a flurry of punches that miss.

Humm is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Svensson defends well.

Humm is trying to control the position but Svensson postures up.

Svensson got a little sloppy there for a moment and Humm has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Svensson has managed to get both his arms back between Humm's legs - danger averted.
Humm has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Humm throws some sloppy strikes off his back.

Humm is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Humm escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Svensson gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Humm is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Svensson defends well.
Humm looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Svensson is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.



Humm looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into side control! Oh, that's bad for Svensson!
Rickard Humm overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Humm is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Svensson knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
Humm looking to punish the body of his opponent here but Svensson is avoiding damage well.

Humm thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Humm working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
The strikes coming from Humm are missing the target in this wave of attacks.

Humm swings around for an armbar but Svensson sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Humm's guard.

Humm tries to land a sweep but no joy.

Humm is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage.
Humm wants to stand up but Svensson is controlling him.
Humm trying to keep a closed guard but Svensson is proving a slippery customer.

Humm looking for a triangle here. Svensson is fighting it but it looks tight! Humm pulls the arm across and this one won't last much longer! Nope, Svensson is tapping out - this one is all over!
