The judges for this bout are Paulsen Ambrosius, Nard Betker and Wagner Zegers.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Malkovich drives through and clinches with Solis against the cage.
Solis tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Malkovich just stands there and leans against the cage.
Malkovich pulls Solis into guard.
Malkovich working a defensive guard but Solis manages to pass into side control anyway.
Malkovich can't do much from the bottom here.
Solis lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Malkovich down.
Malkovich struggling a bit here.
Solis lands a nice forearm strike.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Solis controlling the position from side mount.
Malkovich is looking to regain half guard here but Solis keeps moving and retains side control.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Malkovich is looking for a sweep.
Malkovich tries to get back to his feet but has found himself mounted instead. Damn, that's gotta suck.
Malkovich is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
The referee warns Malkovich that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.
Solis landing strikes from the mount and Malkovich is in trouble!
Solis lands a couple of good shots and Malkovich has given up his back, trying to escape the position!
Malkovich is trapped and Solis is scoring with shots to the head and body.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Watch the back of the head! Comes the shout from the referee towards Solis.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

A bit of a pause in the action here. Solis controlling the positon.
Solis punches Malkovich on the ear.
Solis lands a couple of good shots to his opponent's body and a final shot to the head. Good little attack there by Solis.

Malkovich wants to get back to his feet.
Solis has his opponent trapped and is landing shots. Not a good position for Malkovich.
Solis keeps control of the position as Malkovich tries to break free.
Solis connects with a series of strikes and the referee is calling for Malkovich to escape the position.
Solis is raining down hard shots and and Malkovich has had enough - he's tapped out due to the strikes!
