Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Michael Jordan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Max Pain (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Michael Jordan!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Max Pain!
The judges for this bout are Konstantin Menshow, Aleksandr Martynov and Sergei Dronov.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Jordan fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Pain sprawls well initially but Jordan persists and gets the takedown into half guard.

Pain makes some distance and scrambles quickly back to his feet. Nice work!
Pain fails with an attempt to clinch.
Jordan throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Pain.

Jordan drives through with a takedown into Pain's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position.

The fighters are working up against the cage. Pain manages to wriggle his way back to his feet, so the fighters are now clinched against the cage.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Pain is working for takedown but Jordan is calmly controlling the position for now.

Pain pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Pain is defended easily by Jordan.

Pain gets tackled into the cage by Jordan. Jordan maintains the clinch.

Pain wants to break free but Jordan has control.
Pain drops down looking for an ankle pick but Jordan pulls his leg out and moves away.
Michael Jordan has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Max Pain.

Jordan feints and as Pain raises his hands in defense, Jordan changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Pain is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Jordan preventing any damage for now, controlling his opponent's head.
Jordan wants to get back to his feet.

Pain with a momentary lay and pray from half guard.
Jordan is looking to improve his position.
Jordan trying to hold on to Pain's head to control him but Pain postures up.
Pain thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Jordan's head.
Jordan tries to get to full guard but Pain has control of the leg.

Jordan wants to control but Pain is keeping busy and won't allow it.
Jordan gets full guard.
Pain stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Jordan swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Pain throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Jordan works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Jordan is controlling Pain's posture.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.
Pain tries to close the distance and clinch up but Jordan swats him away and circles back towards the center.

Jordan postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.

Pain has managed to wall walk up one of the corner posts to get back to his feet. Jordan is pushing him up against the cage, looking to control the position.
Pain jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Jordan walks away with a smile on his face. Pain gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Pain looks winded!
Pain throws a series of punches but Jordan moves out of range.
Jordan feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Pains jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!
Jordan tries a head kick but it misses.
Pain tries to counter with a clinch but Jordan shakes him off and moves away.

Jordan forces Pain back against the cage and clinches.
Jordan misses with a punch to the body.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Pain tries for a takedown. No joy.
Jordan stalling against the cage.

Jordan breaks the clinch.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Max Pain will probably get the nod.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.



Jordan shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Pain is trying to defend but Jordan finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
Jordan is keen to just control but Pain is a slippery customer.
Pain keeping control of the leg, stopping his opponent passing to mount.
Max Pain has got the better of the ground game so far.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Pain throws a sloppy head kick and Jordan moves out of range easily.
Pain swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Pain is breathing heavily.

Pain shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Jordan's guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Jordan is pulling down on Pain's head. It's preventing any offense from Pain, at least for the moment.

Jordan bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Pain's guard.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Jordan sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Pain's guard.
Pain tries to roll over but Jordan keeps him under control.
Jordan stalling.
Pain slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Jordan passes easily into side control. Nice work.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Michael Jordan dominated that second round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!

Jordan escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Jordan displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Pain.

Jordan misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
And Pain tries to counter it with a takedown but Jordan pushes his down on his head and steps out.

and Jordan counters with a series of strikes. Pain will be more careful next time no doubt.

Pain takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.

It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.

Jordan keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Jordan tries to counter by clinching up but Pain breaks away and moves out of range.

Pain works his way to full guard. Good work.

Well Jordan has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
