Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Fritz Reed (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Aggi Dilimanto (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Aggi Dilimanto is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Francis DeMontford, Ben Watson and Donatello Bradman.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dilimanto drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
Reed is looking for a sweep.
Dilimanto tries to score with some ground and pound. Reed controls his posture well this time though and the shots don't do any damage.
Reed is trying to improve his position.
Reed misses with a strike from the bottom.
Dilimanto wants to control but Reed is keeping him busy.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Reed really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Dilimanto goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Reed has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Dilimanto but great work by Reed.

Dilimanto has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

Reed feints a jab promting Dilimanto to slip. Reed then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Dilimanto slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.
Dilimanto fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Reed, pushing him back against the cage.
Dilimanto lands a takedown into guard.
Dilimanto stands and throws Reed's legs to the side, diving into side control.
Reed wants to control but Dilimanto postures up.
Dilimanto wants to stand but Reed is controlling his arm.
Reed manages to get one leg in to regain half guard.

Dilimanto has decided to stand back up but his arm is trapped. Whilst he's worrying about his arm, Reed works to full guard.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Reed looking to hit a scissor sweep but Dilimanto is one step ahead there.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Dilimanto manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Reed on his heels. He'll look to pass Reed's guard now, I'm sure.

Reed is concentrating on defense, preventing Dilimanto from advancing position.
Dilimanto thows a huge punch but Reed dodges it nicely.

Reed has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Dilimanto is working away from the top position though.
The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Dilimanto drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.

Aggi Dilimanto showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! Let's get this one finished - here comes the final round!
Dilimanto closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
Reed's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

Reed tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Dilimanto manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
A little jabbing left from Dilimanto on the counter but it doesn't find it's target.

Dilimanto has dropped down and is working for a takedown. Reed is trying to keep an underhook but Dilimanto manages to get the takedown into half guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Dilimanto can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Reed is looking to escape.

Dilimanto is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Reed is surviving well by controlling Dilimanto's body position as best he can.

Reed is flailing around like a fish out of water, trying to land strikes.

Dilimanto avoids the attempt from Reed to control.
Dilimanto goes for an armbar but he's not got it… Reed turns into him and now he's in Dilimanto's guard.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Reed is just content to waste time from the top position. Dilimanto takes advantage of the situation and regains full guard.
Reed will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
