The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Batista showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Tegetthoff.
Wilhelm Tegetthoff seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Tegetthoff gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Batista advances position into side control!

Batista is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Tegetthoff knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
Batista is working to tighten his grip on Tegetthoff's neck. He's isolated an arm and is working for an arm triangle. Tegetthoff has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but Batista is really squeezing tight and eventually Tegetthoff passes out! Batista breaks the hold and jumps onto the cage to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!

In his post fight interview, Dave Batista started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception.
