The judges for this bout are Robert Twigg, Frank Dennis and Gwen Towbar.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
McGregor shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Diaz pinned against the cage. Diaz gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Diaz shoots for a takedown but McGregor saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
McGregor drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
Diaz manages to work his way to half guard, despite McGregor's best efforts.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Diaz working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. McGregor doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Oh but Diaz is tightening it up a little... McGregor has to be careful here... He's got his foot tucked under now, this looks tight! McGregor reacted too slowly and this one could be over in a matter of seconds! YES! McGregor taps out! Nice BJJ there by Diaz!

After the fight, Alberto Diaz was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
