Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 5 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Abel Stamp!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Diego Corrales!
The judges for this bout are Sergei Dronov, Illya Tyunina and Aleksandr Martynov.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Corrales throws a combination. Stamp tries to block but a couple of punches get through.
Stamp ducks under a wild hook from Corrales.
Stamp throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Corrales.
Stamp throws a right and a left that Corrales avoids nicely.
Stamp scores with a jab to the body.
Stamp throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Stamp tries to clinch up but Corrales circles away and keeps his distance.
Corrales wants to clinch up but Stamp keeps it at a distance.
Corrales is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Corrales looks for the body kick but Stamp saw that one coming.

and Stamp counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work.
Stamp keeps the fight on the outside.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Stamp rushes Corrales and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Stamp has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Corrales is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.

Stamp pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Stamp throws the left hand but Corrales avoids the punch easily.
Stamp avoids the clinch attempt nicely.

Stamp gets a clinch.
Corrales's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not.

Stamp pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Corrales is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Corrales misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Corrales throws a lazy right hand but Stamp sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Stamp lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Corrales circles away quickly and effectively.

Corrales shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Stamp but Stamp pushes him off and we're back to square one.

Stamp has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Stamp wants to work for an arm triangle but Corrales is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Stamp decides he's had enough of the ground and stands up.

No joy there for Stamp, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Corrales lands a glancing blow to the side of Stamp's head.

and Corrales counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Corrales can do anything to dispel that myth.
Stamp working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Corrales's head.

Stamp decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.

Stamp closes this distance looking for a takedown but Corrales circles away.

Stamp changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Corrales tries to avoid it but Stamp manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Corrales to the ground. Corrales escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Stamp shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Stamp showed some decent athleticism there.
Stamp wants to take a breather but Corrales is having none of it.

Stamp is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Corrales defends it well.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Stamp passes the guard and advances to mount!
Corrales is trying to stand up.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Stamp is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Corrales has managed to escape the submission attempt.

Stamp has control of Corrales's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Corrales regains control of the situation pretty easily.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Corrales really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Stamp. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Corrales can't escape the position.
Stamp trying to control but he's not successful this time.

Stamp has isolated one of Corrales's arms. Corrales looking to fight him off but Stamp twists into an armbar. It's tight... Will he tap?? YES, he's tapped! This one is all over!
