Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 9 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Luiz Diaz!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 18 - 3 - 0, fighting out of London, Glorious Superior!
The judges for this bout are Sam Margolis, Donald Grub and Paul Tew.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Superior closes the distance looking to clinch
and Diaz counters with a nice body shot.
Superior cracks a nice hook into Diaz's ribs.
We've been informed that Superior has been sparring a lot of Muay Thai in the buildup to this fight so let's see if that has an impact on the result.
Diaz takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.

Superior moves into the clinch.

Diaz definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.

We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Superior is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.

Superior is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.


Diaz takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Superior is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Superior throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Diaz stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Glorious Superior seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Diaz looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Superior is fending him off so far but Diaz persists. Nope, Superior circles away and we're back to standing.
Superior tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away.

The fight moves into the clinch position.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Superior lands a short shot on the inside that snaps the head of Diaz backwards.
Diaz jumps guard but Superior stands there with Diaz around his waist. Diaz gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

Superior turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Superior manages to end up in side control.
Luiz Diaz overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Diaz is trying to get back to half guard.

Superior swings around for an armbar but Diaz sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Superior's guard.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Superior escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Diaz gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Diaz stands up over his opponent, looking to dive in with a big punch. Here he comes, superman style! Oh, the punch misses and Superior has got him in a triangle choke for good measure! Oh no! Diaz manages to get his head free but now Superior has transitioned to an armbar! Diaz grimaces and is forced to tap! Beautiful Jiu Jitsu from Superior! I'd be surprised if that didn't end up as submission of the night!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:55 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Glorious Superior!
An intense looking Glorious Superior took to the microphone post fight and gave a little speech: 'Goodbye fair island on which I had the pleasure of reigning. Now one last time chant it together my minions 'Bow before your Glorious Superior!''.
